Well being very impatient and short on money I was desperate for another ppc after my belittled BE-300 Casiopea, 166mhz died I desperatly needed something to... "play music", , well the best priced ppc out there I could find was the allmighty AXIM X5!, I ordered it!, halfway through the purchasing it said it was sold!
A month later after checking the compgeeks everyday I spotted it in stock, I ordered it emediatly and got the the 2nd to the last one.
The Problem
A week later a knock on the door... Woohoo!

its here, I open the box plug it in and turn it on only to be depressed because the touchscreen was not responding correctly, I was depressed

I grew angry  Called compgeeks asked them calmly what is going on? -_- they replied "well you will have to send it in". I was very frustrated not wanting to let go of it!, I experimented with it more, it seems that it would work sometimes and stop after 5 min of play, but when it didnt work when I pressed the very top corner of the screen it clicked the keyboard button on the lower right corner. I tapped it and it began to work again, so I got an idea! Eureka! B) The bottom of the case was pressing against the screen!
The Solution
I wedged the stylus between the screen slightly prying up on the case and slipped the stylus back out, turned it on... worked!

... for 5 min <_< ok so I cut a peice of a car mat out and carfully slipped it in between the screen and frame far enough so its resting on the side circuiry of the digitizer/touch screen... WORKED!
The After Shock
I loved my ax! I worked great! Great compatiblility... untill the D-pad stopped working, well I was not going to attempt to take a higher risk of voiding the warranty by taking it apart and looking at it so I spent the 10 bucks to ship it back to em... after taking the peice of rubber preventing the screen from not responding... told them that the screen wasnt responding and only worked for about 15min and said that from the time that I used it the D-pad didnt seem to be working correctly... about a 1 month wait I got it back in great condition... They even gave me the documentation which was not supposed to be included in the first place and gave me a non-refurbished product!
The Aftermath
After me and my ax were reunited I continued dling movies, music, program and games and a productive peice every now and then.
Where and what do I use my axim for?
Home:
Listening to music, using my agenda prog to remind me of my due homework assignments :music:
School:
Writing down my agenda, often saying I'm writting down my agenda and ussually playing a game or a movie :shifty: , typing out reports and also printing them in school from their IR enabled printers which is really a convenient feature, calculator, dictionary, theasaurus, translator, schedule [ussually used durring the first week of school] :music: , taking notes, pranking school tv's with my CF IR extender :P , since my teachers have no idea that my ax can print to a printer I can just prank the printer especially with my extended CF IR, i never tried that yet, I beleive you need a program for it to utilize it... to kind of mix a question in is their a program out there that will do that? Also go on the internet by plucking a network cable out of one of their comps and gettin' hooked up!
Work
Writing down events in my Calendar and todo list, listen to music
On the Road
Music, Games, Movies, :music: mapping and navigation
The uses are virtually endless, but my ax is a cure for boredom to me!
Long live the ax!
Thank you for listening and please consider me to be the winner of this case! and dont forget to "Beware of the BARCODE!"
