I am a Corporate Computer Trainer, Web Site Designer, Newspaper Columnist, and have two teenaged kids that are in sports. If it wasn’t for my AXIM I wouldn’t have time to do any of them, or keep up with any of it/them.
I use it much of the time for scheduling and keeping track of my agenda, and my kids’ games’ timetables. I have all of my class dates and times with alarms so that I am where I should be when I should be. They remind me in time to have books ready and labs reserved…it never fails!
I even use my AXIM with the Clock/Alarm feature as my alarm clock in the morning. There are four settings so I know which sound is the last one that I really have to get up for.
I have coded some web pages using the Notes feature and then when finished on the AXIM I can put them up to my desktop and put in the finishing touches. I use Windows Notepad to do my HTML coding anyway, so this fits right in.
I have written several of my columns from strange places using my AXIM. One that received a lot of attention was one that I wrote while sitting in the barbershop awaiting my turn for a haircut. I just started listening to all of digital phones ringing, a kid and his dad play on their respective game machines, the looks of disgust or intrigue on other peoples faces and ‘typed’ it all while using my AXIM with my Kilmist Keyboard XL.
The ‘virtual’ keyboard is great for a short composition, but if I am writing a training manual I use my Micro Innovations Keyboard and really knock it out fast! With my AXIM, that keyboard makes it almost as good, or possibly better, than my desktop. I use the MS Word application when writing, and bang…I just sync it to my PC and it is basically done.
And did I mention that I have found out how to convert TV shows, that I missed, from tape to digital to WMA so that I can watch that show on my AXIM to catch up on ‘Alias’?
Oh well, I guess I should stop now or AXIMUSERS.com will be overwhelmed with the size of this post—but I have a lot more I can do with my AXIM.
Oh, and did I mention games in my downtime, like sitting in a line at the bank? Well I am a backgammon addict too and…
