DELL DISTO and Bluetooth

I recently purchased a Dell Axim 51v. Everything works fine but I have a BT device called a DISTO (laser distance measuring device). The Axim recognizes the DISTO, however, I cannot enter data into my Excel program. I would like to use the Dell Axim as a data collection device for accident reconstruction. The two devices are supposed to be compatible. Thanks.

By "cannot enter data into my Excel program" what do you mean? That you can't type in a cell? You want the DISTO to autoinput to Excel? Autoinput would require software for PPC that would come with the DISTO or would have to be custom written. Is the DISTO supposed to be a serial comm device? If so, have you assigned it as such in the BT manager?
