Thumbs up Bluetooth Headphone Testers Required

If you have an Axim X51v or X50v running Windows Mobile 5 and a Bluetooth Headphone you'd like to use with it, try this:

    1. Extract the A2DP.ZIP file to a folder and copy the contents to your Axim:

    A) tor_a2dp.cab

    B) tor_a2dp_cert.cab

    C) 3 DLLs avrcp_mpplugin.dll, bta2dp.dll, sbc.dll

    D) a2dp.reg

    2. Copy the three DLL files to \My Device\Windows and put the cabs and reg file into one directory.

    3. Click on tor_a2dp.cab to install.

    4. Click on tor_a2dp_cert.cab to install.

    5. Turn power off completely or soft reset to register the changes.

    6. Turn unit on. Go to:

    Bluetooth > Devices> New partnership

    7. After your BT stereo client is ready to pair, select "Wireless Stereo".
You may have to use a passkey if your headphone specifies, ie: "0000".

    8. Tap and hold the client, and set it as Wireless Stereo

    DONE.

If you are successful, please post back and include:

    A. The device (e.g. X51v) and the BT headphone model that you used.

    B. How you made it work if you encountered difficulty.

When you download the attached file "attachment.php", don't forget to rename it to "a2dp.zip".

    Thumbs up Working BT Headphones

I'm trying to compile a working list & looking forward to your great feedback.

The list could be a useful resource for someone planning to get a BT headphone.

I tried this on my HTC 2125, but when it came time to pair, I did not have the option to pair with "Wireless stereo" - so no luck

I take it back! It worked! I'm not sure what I did, maybe just user error. I love you! I can't believe the bastards at ms/cingular didn't let me do this out of the box!

I followed the instuctions posted and had great success. Paired a pair of Motorola HT820 stereo headphones to a x51v. The headset works great. I guess I will have to keep them now.

Thanks for your time and energy

Did you need a passkey? Try changing the secure option on or off and reattempt. Does the headset need to be placed in an allow detection mode somehow? Hopefully we can get it working.

I would read the references links l0l cited in his post. They are to forums that specifically deal with the issues in the software.

    passkey and articles

yes, it asked for a passkey and i gave it 0000 the same as i did for my desktop and my laptop. also, i did read all 4 of those posts. nothing there dealing with th fact that it greys out the "set as hands free" option.
this is exactly what happened before i installed the "cabs" etc as described above "a2dp". i had already tried secure settn both on and off. and i deleted the device so as to have a fresh start.

    Bluetooth headphone tester

    Alas
I followed the directions for my Axim X50v running WM5 with a brand new Jabra 250BT.
I did not get the option of wireless headset.
    Any suggestions?

    not working

I have a new Dell Axim 51V and I've tried to get my Motorola h300 to work with this A2dp.zip. I've tried three times and the bluetooth setup doesn't have those options for wireless stereo. It only has the set as hands-free that is grey-ed out. Any suggestions on what to try next?

    Thanks
    James
