The instructions are unclear at one point. Step 8 says, "Tap and hold the client, and set it as Wireless Stereo" but it's a tap operation, not tap and hold, at least on my machine. But this is a quibble - installation was a snap. Many thanks.

Follow up message: It turns out that although his procedure *does* allow you to pair an Axim 51v with a Motorola HT820 for high quality A2DP audio playback, the microphone built into the HT820 seems to be disabled. So if you were planning to use this combination for VOIP, such as Skype, you'd be disappointed. It's not clear if this is a result of the A2DP pairing procedure described here, a consequence of WiFi versus Bluetooth interference, or some other cause. In any event, VOIP seems to be out of the question with this combo.

A) tor_a2dp.cab

6. Turn unit on. Go to:
Bluetooth > Devices> New partnership

You may have to use a passkey if your headphone specifies, ie: "0000".
8. Tap and hold the client, and set it as Wireless Stereo
DONE.
If you are successful, please post back and include:
A. The device (e.g. X51v) and the BT headphone model that you used.
B. How you made it work if you encountered difficulty.

I am unable to copy the dll files to the windows directory since they are "read only, system files", and older, smaller files already exist in the windows directory.
Your suggestions would be appreciated, since I am new at using the Dell x51v.
Thanks, Jim

Negative on the BT connection.
I have the AXIM x51 using the Motorola BT headset.
I'm thinking maybe for some of the axims, there needs to be a BT firmware update of some sort. I didn't see on my device though, who is the BT manufacturer.

Hello users,
I am new to axim and have some questions. I followed instruction how to install A2dp file and encountered problem: I can't erase old files in the windows folder of my devise. I can't replace them with the new files because they have read only property. I can't change property option for these folders in order to replace or erase them.
Please help.

Hi I had the same problem as others, not being able to overwrite the existing DLL's. (Im using a Blueant X3micro head set and Axim x51) I downloaded this stack and installed it without any problems, and it worked first time, sound volume is a little low but usable (the X3 is a very small headset), skype works well. Thanks Guys Ill send a donation as soon as I figure out how (Im a Newbie)
