IR uses

I rarely use the IR but maybe its due to my ignorance.
I simply dont see many IR compatible things around me.

Maybe you guys/gals could point some uses out to me and how you use them.

Maybe I could get a list of some products that use IR that I may be unfamiliar with.

I havent used IR once. but would like to if I had a better idea about it. >_<
