I have a Dell Axim x30 with Bluetooth, but I haven't the slightest clue on how to set up a wireless connection. This is my first PDA in about 4 or 5 years, and my old one was a black and white Palm Pilot, so I've never dealt with wireless connectivity. Can someone fill me in on how and how much it would cost to have a wireless connection? Thanks.

Well the easiest way to connect to the internet with your x30 (that i believe has built in wifi as well?) is with a wireless router. I would recomend lynsys but there is really not all that much difference. This connects right to your cable router or whatever you have in your home and broadcasts a wireless signal that your decive can easily pick up and connect to the internet. You can also connect through hotspots or various other wireless networks that may be around. Bluetooth is completely different. Bluetooth does not connect to the internet so much as to other devices. Like another BT handheld or a BT phone or maybe a BT dock on your pc that also goes to a wireless BT keyboard, mouse etc..

I have a wireless router....in fact it's a linkysys. How do I set the Axim to get the signal? Also, is there a way to connect when I'm not in range of my house?

Make sure it is an 802.11b router as ppc's dont get g yet. Then I believe if you go into the wifi area under settings of your axim you should see the network. You may have your router set up to not broadcast your ssid or maybe you have mac filtering, but I'm sure if you have these things you will be able to tweak them to get your handheld on the network.
