Has anyone tried Sprint Wireless connection with the AXUM. Specifically the wireless CF card they sell. CF 2031 "PCS Connection Card"?

I think as long as you are happy using it mostly for data you will like it... Although the few reviews I found mentioned the external battery is kind of a kludge, it sounded like mostly positive stuff. I personally was hoping to get one to replace my phone but it looks disappointing for use as a real phone, so I am holding out for the SE T608 (if it ever comes!) and getting a Bluetooth card sometime later this year.

I have tried it, but with the iPaq. The installation is easy, and connecting to the Sprint Network is fast. Browsing the Internet is also fast.
It will also make your device as a phone, but you will have to use an earpiece / microphone.
Before proceding, check Sprint's site for compatibility - CF 2031

Very cool but very expensive. $80. per month and .20 per minute per call. I'll wait for T-Mobile to come around.

Zyver ...contact T-Mobile because I think they have a plan already for that ...$29.99, I think.
The information is not on the website, so you have to call them.

I installed the CF PCS Connection Card on my Axim 400mhz X5 but have not been able to get it to work yet. I upgraded to PC2003 and I wonder if that is the problem since there is no mention of PC2003 in the compatibility guide. Anyone successfully use the card?
By the way, I am using the PCS card with a PCS/PCMCIA adapter. My laptop is really mobile now!
Thanks.

T-Mobile's plan is $29/month for unlimited service but unfortunately they do not appear to offer a CF card. Only a PC card.

You recall that I couldn't load software and couldn't get my CF2031 PCS card to work. I am happy to report that there is a website, www.cf2031.com that has the driver for PC2003. Sprint tech. support directed me there saying that I was using the PC2002 driver on a PC2003 Axim. They were right. In under 5 minutes I was surfing the web, albeit slowly, via PCS.
It remains to be seen how convenient having the ability to connect will be and how useful it will prove. That is why I bought the Yiso cf 2031 card. It comes with a special PCMCIAA adapter so I can use it in the laptop. Not just any adapter will do the job, BTW. The cf2031 is a little thicker and a regular stock adapter probably will not accommodate it.
Another problem solved!
