Windows Explorer doesn't seem to work.

Recently windows explorer won't find any addresses. It keeps stating " The address is not valid. Check the address and try again".
Any thoughts as to what is causing this? Is there a way to re-install windows explorer without a hard reset?

As an update, I did a hard reset and have re-installed all the programs i wanted. Works better than ever now.
