High Capacity Battery

Anyone have this battery? My original battery will barely stay charged all day anymore so i'm looking to replace it.

I have a 2200 battery, and strangely both this and the original 1100 don't last like they used to. I know that batteries have a limited life, and I expect the 1100 to be knackered, as it's 2 years old, but I have hardly used the 2200 until recently. It used to last 5-6 hours warching video, but now is erratic - sometimes it almost drains overnight, even though I've checked with Task Manager that nothing (particularly ActiveSync) is running. It also erratically declares itself empty by popping up a "low battery" dialogue and then promptly going back to 97%.
My only major problem with the replacement (probably the cause of the "low battery" above) is that I misunderstood the latch switch and filed some plastic off the cover hook. Now I have a piece of foam glued to it pushing the switch down, but maybe it's ineffective - but I suspect that the battery itself is getting iffy.
Still, even the 2200 is 2 years old, so maybe it's time we both bought one...

It does sound like we both need new batteries. I used to race remote control cars and i can tell you that rechargeable batteries only have a decent shelf life if you actually use them. If they just sit on a shelf for a while and don't get charged and discharged regularly they don't seem to last as long.

Update, if anyone's still reading these threads.
I bought a new 2200 battery and it didn't seem to be any better than the old one. In particular I got really p***ed off because I was hoping to spend an hour on a plane with a movie only to discover that the machine was dead after being 100% charged the night before.
I spent a long time rigorously checking that I'd killed all running processes every time I disconnected from the cradle - I know Activesync has been named as a culprit of battery drain. It made no difference.
Then I finally tried deleting every single notification - and there were lots and lots of them, dozens. I deleted a few at first, and then thought "Oh what the hell..." and scrapped them all. It's made no apparent difference at all to the machine (though perhaps an alarm won't go off one day to remind me of a birthday, but I'll live with it) - except that now the battery lasts for days.
Coincidence...?
Maybe one of the more technically-minded experts in the forum can tell me what exactly all these notifications are - what purpose do they serve? What joys have I stored up for myself in the future by junking them?
