    External stereo microphone for X51v?

I'm interested to hear about any experiences anyone out there may have had with external microphones on the X51v. In particular:
    • Does stereo recording actually work?
    • How was the sound quality?
    • What software did you use?

I looked at this microphone from Sony, and it seems promising: Sony ECM-DS70P. But first I'd like to hear about others' experiences with stereo recording.

I'm not looking for recommendations for other devices.

    Cheers

It turns out that the ECM-DS70P isn't suitable. The Axim doesn't seem to support plug-in power microphones (that is, the microphone needs its own power source--i.e., a battery).
