New on the board, looking for help with my X51v...
I bought my unit with the Dell GPS nav system a couple of years ago, not long before the WM5 update.
Of course, when I installed that update, it messed up the nav software, and my Axim wouldn't connect to the Bluetooth GPS unit. I've gone on NAVTEQ's site (
www.navigation.com/dell), and seen the $99 update available, but since the maps are nearly 2 YEARS out of date at this point, I'm really reluctant to update.
I note that there's a patch on NAVTEQ's site, too, but it apparently isn't compatible with the older maps.
I've got a trip coming up in late March, so I wouldn't mind resolving this by then. Any ideas?
