ActiveSync suddenly can't detect my axim?

I know way too little about electronis, so I have no idea what to do here. I just used activesync on 10/4/07 and it worked fine. I haven't downloaded any application and such to my Aximx51v since then. Now today I plug in the usb and nothing happens. I upgraded to activesync 4.5 just now in hopes that it would work, but it still doesn't recognize my device. I did a soft reset, unplugged and re plugged everything. Maybe it's something wrong with my usb cable? Thankyou for any advice.

Nattirbee, welcome, if there is absotlutely no indication that your PC detects the axim it is most likely the cable/dock that is faulty. Also check the connector on the axim and make sure there are no visibly bent pins/contacts!
