Backing UP X51v WM 2003/WM 5.0

I have an X51v and it got a big scratch on the screen, so dell is replacing it. I went to the programs and backed up the data to the sd card. When I popped the card into the new refurb. axim, I get a message saying the back up was created in Windows Mobile 2003 - PM data & settings can't be restored to a Windows Mobile 5.0 device.

What now?

I don't see a way to back up in activesync or am I missing something?

Is the new axim the same rom version as the one you sent back. When you connected to PC did it let you set up a new partnership or did it just sync straight away? Can you post the entire error message? google it as well!

I haven't sent the old one back yet - I'm trying to get the info off of it first. How do I tell rom version? It synced right away without having to set up a new partnership. I'll post again around 2pm EST when my mom goes to lunch and I can use her desk.

Go start/settings/system system information and it will show rom info. Check both axims. So at the moment you have both axims synced with the same PIM info, but your programs not restored?
