My Axim x51v will not detect maps installed on my CF card. Is there a procedure i can follow that will help?

Hi Rick-

Did you follow the correct installation procedure in installing the maps? You could try uninstalling and reinstalling them from the original media. Does the CF card work with other programs? What ROM version are you using? There were many bugs fixed in each ROM release. You should be at least A12.

Thanks for your reply. I am new to PDAs and i am not sure what ROM means or where to to get those fixes. Can you provide a site for me to get the downloads. I followed the instructions on the Map Loader and all of the Info is present on the card but the Dell GPS Nav system only detects the four regions i installed on the device itself.

HI Rick, Rom refers to your operating system and especially the latest version licensed from dell. The latest legal ROM version is AO12 and it can be obtained from the dell website. To check your rom version go start/settings/system/system information.
