Storage Memory warning
Even though I have a 2.0 GB SanDisk Memory Card, and have (to me) very little on my Axim, [I am really only using my Microsoft Outlook--for the contacts and calendar, although the email also syncs and downloads from my computer] I am receiving this warning message every single time I turn on my DELL AXIM X51.
It says: "Storage Memory: Storage memory is critically low. If you do not increase storage memory, you may not be able to start some programs. Use File Explorer to delete files you no longer need, or move some files to a storage card."
Is it possible that I just need to do something so that the info goes on the memory card and right now it is just going on the "hard drive" of the axim? HELP ME PLEASE...I was just really starting to use my axim for the reason I bought it for when this happened a few months ago, and I haven't gotten past it...Thanks in advance.

Hi Julie, it is very possible that your email is the problem, especially if you are syncing whole emails and attachments, it is possible to store email attachments to your SD card.
Go start/messaging and from the menu in the outlook Email inbox select tools/ options select the storage tab at the bottom right of the screen select the box, Store attachments on storage card, also their is a drop down menu Empty deleted items:which allows you to select Immediately, on connect/disconnect, or manually. I have immediately selected as I don't need to save the items an the ax only check for new messages.

Still STUMPED!
Thank you for the idea. This is Susan, who posted the storage memory problem. I did exactly as was suggested, and it was easy to follow your directions. Thank you. But even after rebooting, it is still giving the same ERROR MESSAGE. And it is showing in the storage area: Main memory of 0 kb free and storage card (1983496 KB free) . Current size of attachments (0KB). {i had previously deleted ALL of my emails in trying to get this solved}.. PLEASE, I NEED ADDITIONAL HELP. I am really needing this to work for my part time home based business...you know, more efficient to bring in the second income that is so necessary I just want to get past these headaches, so I can know I wasn't so stupid for spending the money in buying this axim. Again, thanks for your help in advance.

Hurrah, it is solved!
I know the information I received I will always use!...But I just did a hard reset of my Dell Axim X51v....and at least for now ALL IS WELL... This time I am not syncing any emails...that is what I want to use it for the most anyway...maybe in the future. Please don't let this website ever go away.

That's great Susan, I would try syncing email again, have a look at the settings below
As long as you are diligent, and delete the emails that you don't need, and are
storing attachments to card when you need to download them I don't see why you should have the same problem. It's worth a try. Also what rom version do you have, it could just have been a glitch if an older rom version.
Go well
