LOL, Yes Mahstah i currently have 3 desktops(one of which i sync with) and 2 laptops, so the computer isn't the issue. And yes my "CRADLE" is broken. You've probably read so many post you forgot about my "BROKEN CRADLE" post where the plug on my cradle broke off the circuit board and i had to solder it back on 2 times before already(which i will do again so i can see if it is the new cable i bought and not my AX or my new laptop). I bought a Sync/charge usb CABLE that i'd been using since my CRADLE broke. I'll keep you guys posted on my progress.

Just thought i'd update where i'm at. I wasn't able to repair my cradle succesfully and i really don't want to buy another cradle. I'm not so sure it's my sync/charge usb cable that's causing my problem because i can no longer sync with my desktop(i've deleted my profile on both my AX and on AS on the desktop but it still won't connect). I'm considering a hard reset at this point. I'm just trying to make sure I have all my data backed up before i do.

Just a thought, but if cable/cradle can die what about the connection port of Ax, especially if you are connecting/disconnecting high frequency[lots]

Pedah,
That is entirely possible, but i don't think that is the case because when i go into the device manager it shows that my AX is connected to my PC.

If you can see ax in DM it might point to software, have you removed all of your ax related files from PC, every time you install a new program via PC it leaves a footprint, something PC sees relayed to Ax. Just a thought

After fighting through a hard reset( It wouldn't reset at first i had to take the battery out and let it sit for an while). It sync'ed right up on WMDC now i just have to reload all my files and software(the price we pay for our toys geez!).

How would taking the "battery out for awhile" facilitate success with a hard reset?

I really can't explain that except for the fact that when i tried to hard reset it the first time it locked up on the options screen where you pick between a hard reset and just booting up the AX and the only way i could think to get it back was to remove the battery which worked.

Hey Blue, In theory the battery removal provides a soft reset, so I suppose that if your Hard reset hangs, a soft reset and then another hard reset, may be possible. It's good info, and something to consider.
