Passing this on, there is a new patch for Wifi companion, that is supposed to correct a few issues in 2003, 2003SE and WM5. There is also another Patch specific to x51v, patch includes new functionalityfor wifi comp,
• Adds new functions including Find Wireless Networks
• Connect to favorite networks
• Manage power save modes to maximize battery life.

Note that with this patch installed, the reported percentages (0%, 25%, 50%, 100%) are a significant improvement over WFC 2.10.4 percentages (0%, 17%, 34%, & 67%) which never showed the max value of 100%. The 75% value will not display but the problem resides in Dell’s built-in Wi-Fi driver and cannot be resolved by Wi-Fi Companion.
