media player sync problem

I am trying to set up my new x51v but it always says media player installation incomplete.
It wants to form a partnership with my CFcard.
But when I try to synic with media player 10, The player software on my desk top says "no device detected. press F5 to refresh." I do and nothing happens.
Does someone know what I should do??

Try updating to WM11 and AS 4.5 on your PC for the media sync problem. However, it's much easier to manually copy media to the device IMO.

Do it manually to avoid AS hangs. With WM11 you don't need to partner just drag and drop to a specific place and then your files will be copied to card. It takes a lot of time, if you include it in sink it takes a lot more time.

I'm interested in this one as I've started to play with adding music files to the Axim. I've tried both methods, syncing (sinking) inevitably results in a stop error and restart and I haven't found any way around this yet but I'd be interested to do so. doing this maually is better, but I'm found some (music) files won't copy as whole albums but individual tracks do - this is from albums I've uploaded from my own CD and shouldn't have copyright protection issues. Any insight on this? I should also say that I've used itunes and iPOD to manage my music files before with no sync problems or issues related to copyright protection. Looks far superior to me - but I can't get my calendar or contacts sync'd on IPOD, looks like i'm stuck with both bits of electronics for now.

Update, I had to uninstall Zonealarm in order to resolve the blue screen error when syncing with WMP, no blue screen problems now
