SDHC Cards
Hello all,
This format of card is relatively new. Will it work in an Axim? SDHC...I read some reviews on shopping sites stating that if your device will not read this type of card don't get it.
Thanks for your help.

From what I've read the X51v will not read SDHC cards. Some users here have tried with little success.

I read this and reveiwed a whole heap of threads here and somewhere else and IMHO, Don't DO IT. There is not much information to say that SDHC is compatible with ax. As yet there is not a lot of support for the High Capacity cards. Search google "SDHC axim" quite a few undefinitive threads, ipaq as well.

Thanks for your help...It didn't sound like it would work from reviews I read on the retailer's site either. I wasn't so much looking in that direction for any performance reason, rather a price/availability issue.
I appreciate the feedback.

Take it straight back to the retailer, don't hesitate, a lot of retailers assume that you are buying for a camera and do not bother to check compatability [when you assume you make an ASS out of U and ME] you should be able to get it replaced.
Sandisk doesn't even have compatability listings for x51 yet

Rheya's A.,
I'm sorry if you already know this - it's not mentioned in the thread above.
As KimChee & Heine* say, WM6 makes SDHC work perfectly. I've been running Football's A03 for months. I finally bit the bullet (more money than sense?) and bought an A-Data 16GB SDHC and it works fine. I've been using it for weeks with no problems at all.
Hope this advice isn't too late for you - I don't know how I missed your question before. Maybe it will still be of interest to others.

I have a X51V with a 16 gb CF and 16gb SDHC cards inserted with full access to all of their memory. There is a patch to allow the X51V to see and use SDHC cards under WM5 but WM6 and WM6.1 both allow full use of this type of card.
