Anyone else's cradle break? The connector on my cradle has broken. I've fixed it once already but it seems to be crapping out again. What's everyone's opinion should i get another cradle or just get a regular cord?

I got a travel sync cable as well, I leave ny cradle at work caus at home I sit on the couch and just have ax sitting next to me, it USB powers the ax while I've got it attached, if I have an especially low battery it's my safety option[ i've only got one spare and it is waiting for me in the cradle for morning swapover]. I think having spare cables is best safety option for data protection and the dell travelsnc also let's you plug your charger into the ax without the cradle.
the male connector had came unsoldered from the circuit board. The board is all SMT(surface mount technology) so the body of the plug is what came loose. I had to resolder the body of the plug back to the board, which stayed for about two weeks then came loose again. I repaired it again and put some super glue on the plastic part of the plug where it presses against the board but my connection isn't the best. It will charge my AX but it won't sync. I bought a charge/sync usb cable on ebay for $6US(just waiting for it to come in).
Finally got my sync/charge cable in, but i've got a question. When i plug it in it doesn't always charge. And sometimes when i plug it in the back light flashes between dim and bright(I have it set to dim when on battery and on bright when it's plugged in). And today when i plugged it in, it synced and started to charge but later i came back to it and it had quit chargeing. Any ideas?

I haven't found any problems with mine, but without the charger I don't think the ax knows it's on power when it's just connected to usb. Is your cable Dell or aftermarket, it could make a difference. The backlight thing I couldn't even guess.
