Dell ditching the Axim range.

Apologies if this is old news. I've just been talking to a contact I have at Dell and they have stated that the Axim range is being discontinued and that it is being replaced by a third party range "see link".

Hi, this was known for some time, especially as Dell are overdue to launch an new X52 (?)

However the link is of interest to most.

Aren't they just re badged PDAs from HTC or something like that?

You are correct that the X50 and X51 were made by HTC. but I think that what this post refers to is that the axim brand will cease and Dell ( If at all) , will just offer the Imate range.

I Dell was going to just sell rebadged PDA's then their is actually no difference to what they are currently doing and they would ( I suspect) have launched a new axim this autumn ( fall).
