How to adjust Axim51v japanese os version to english?

Dear All,
Hello , I'm new to this place so any info on the following matter will be gratefully received.
I currently live in Japan and have decided to get hold of a 51v from the dell japan website.
1. Does anybody have experience with the japanese version?
Dell US online help told me that I just simply change the language settings to english..not sure that this would be quite a simple as they say.

2.Will my English XP recognise the 51v even though it will be in japanese?

3.Would l need to fiddle around with the flash rom to get it back to english?

4.Dell japan is the only way to order (being in japan) as the UK and US site do not ship outside of their own country.

as you can see I have no experience with pda's apart from the ancient handsprings..
please help.

Hi Kohey-

It is possible to change the ROM language version according to users on this thread. You could also consider purchasing from ebay instead of Dell to get a natively English version.

Thank you for your advice..I'll check out the threads.
Ebay, sounds like a good option though rather than fiddling around with the rom.
