For what its worth, my opinion is that Dell are missing a number of key factors.
I have both a smart phone and also X51V and I use them both for different things..
1) My smart phone does not have WiFi built in
2) Yes I can navigate with the phone, BUT the screen is very small, the X51 is much clearer and safer in the car.
3) The PDA has a touch screen, not the phone
4) The PDA can sync with my PC, the phone also, but not for spreadsheets etc
True I could buy a Smart phone with a bigger screen and format, but have you ever seen someone with a unit the size of an axim by the side of their head talking !!!!!!
I could use a BT headset, but I for one do not like to see people with this type of perminant ear jewellery. They think it looks cool, I think it makes them look like a cyberman .. ( UK axim users who watch Dr Who will know what I mean).
It is interesting to note that whilst Dell move out of PDA's, companies such as TomTom, Garmin, Packard Bell etc are moving into the void created.
