Lost files!

I've had active sync problems for a while now, and finally remedied them yesterday only to find the following:

The Axim Folder on my PC contains only the "Templates" folder, nothing else. This leads to my main problem - all .doc and notes files are gone. Can't grab them from the PC and are nowhere to be found on the axim. Worst part is they are files that I had saved prior to purchasing my SD Card, and they were still saved to the main memory.

And yes. . .live and learn. . . I had not created a backup yet.

So. . .anyone know of any programs to retrieve files from the main memory?

****UPDATE**** Recovered the files - and, just so I don't sound like I'm trying to make myself out to be some pro here - the answer is embarrassing enough that if I shared it I could NEVER log onto this site again. And I love this site, so. . . I'll just have to keep it secret.
