Dell Axim Hard Reset Problem while trying A12

Hi there,

I have downloaded the A12 ROM update from dell site.

i tried to install it the files are copied and then it is asking for hard reset to pda. when i do a hard reset it does not allow me to hard reset it automatically soft resets. meaning when i press for hard reset the selection dialog for reset to factory settings appears for a moment and disappears automatically. so i am not able to do the hard reset and that is why the rom is not updated.

please reply me if you know how to hard reset in these conditions. or what can be the problem with the hard reset.

some program is still running, maybe. Go to memory>running applications>stop!

worked for me, but not to do with ROM update.

Continue with the upgrade. See the official A12 upgrade ROM thread, the problem is common (I experienced it) and you can continue even though it soft resets.
