Blue Tooth activity after X51v is shut off.

When I press the off button on the X51v it seems to shut off just as it should. I always use BT (for GPS), so it is always active (blue light flashing) while it is on (as expected).

When I shut the unit off, the blue light stops flashing as it should. But, every now and then (haven't pinned down frequency) when I go to turn the X51v on, I notice that the blue light is flashing like it is communicating with another device.

Anybody know of a reason why the Blue Tooth might go active while the unit is shut off?

I do have the ghost server fix in and have it set to never sync.

Thanks for any advise or suggestions.

The same thing occurs with mine. I always take the extra step to turn off BT when I'm done with the GPS. The Axim is not really turned off when it's in standby mode. The BT may be checking for paired device presence at intervals when BT is left on and the device is in standby.

Thanks for the response, Mahstah. At least I'm glad to hear it is not just an issue with my PDA.

I have watched it and it does stay off for quite a while after I hit the power button. I just haven't been able to point to the time it starts flashing while off. I would like to know what wakes it up to start looking for other devices.

Even with this issue, I prefer to leave it on because I use it mainly with a GPS and it would just be another step to turn it off and on everytime I start and stop using it.

A12 seems to fixed another one. I just checked the PDA and after being off all night, the Blue Tooth was not flashing with the PDA off. This was a daily occurance before.

Up to now, the power level was down around 10% every morning which I attributed to the BT running while PDA was off. This morning battery level was not down at all.

Thanks to Dell for finally getting this corrected.
