things I do wrong with my Axim
I like to take my Axim everywhere.
I might need it
I might listen to music or draw
I might type something.
I might need to go online
I might want to scribble or record.
I might want to review a file, video or other document.
I have 3 ways of going around town: With a murse (a man’s purse); With a suit jacket or coat; or With neither. When I go with no jacket or murse the axim fits in the pocket - headphones rest around neck, and the keyboard stays at home.
When I just wear ordinary pants I like the Axim naked – less bulgy and it is no problem for listening to music or finding some internet connection etc.
However when in my murse or in my jacket It has to be in the leather case I got from cases.com, or else something invariably presses on the sd card and turns it on even though the lock is slid into locked position. – so we have battery drain if no case and we wear a jacket or carry a murse.
But naked in pants pocket without case and just no worries .
Another mistake – i.e. besides using a case at the wrong time or vice versa, is turning off the unit without turning off Bluetooth and or WIFI. Sometimes I get a surprise battery drain when this is done. Especially when I am charging, I am not sure how the unit gets confused with that.
Finally, I think it needs to be soft reset every 2-3 days and when I shut it down normally, sometimes I forget to go to
settings- memory- running programs – stop all.
which is a good way to shut it off.
If I remember these things, it is always ready when I turn it on.
(I still carry an extra battery, because I usually get something wrong)
