X51v with Dell Navteq GPS losing Bluetooth connection

I am having problems with the Dell Bluetooth GPS Europe Navigation system I recently purchased and my X51v.

I start up the Navteq software and it partners perfectly with the bluetooth receiver. The software then works quite happily for a while and then for no apparant reason loses the bluetooth connection.

The blue flashing light on the receiver goes from frequent flashes to long flashes. The connection is sometimes but not usually reestablished.

For example I could drive on a motorway for 5 miles, lose the bluetooth connection and drive the next 20 miles without a connection.

I have tried everything including a hard reset of my X51v.

X51v and receiver are within inches of each other on the dashboard.

I have searched and it seems noone else has had this exact same problem.

I am wondering whether the receiver or x51v have faulty bluetooth.

I've had mine do that only once or twice, don't know why though. I have the Americas version.

The problem was a faulty bluetooth receiver. The replacment works fine.
