Brand new, out of the box Axim 51, blue screens with activesync. How can I get around this? Cleaned register, turned off firewall, loaded and used activesync 4.2 beta from microsoft. Help, I would like to use the device. Thanks,

Greetings blc529. The BSOD is usually caused by sector corruption on the hard drive or a bad driver for a device. Check your computer with chkdsk /f. It will run on next reboot, watch it and see if it reports any bad sectors at the end of its run.

Thanks for stopping by. I will do the chk dsk. I bought software last night to clean the registry. I really do want the device to work. When it bluescreens again I will let you know the rteport. I will tell you that 8e is at the end of the first string of xs. Later

Ok. So how do I do a chkdsc /f?

Start-->Run-->cmd (enter)-->chkdsk c: /f (enter) if c: is your drive in question.
