Axim x51v + wireless

First, hello to everybody!
I´m new to the pda world. Just received my first pda, which apparently is an excellent machine, judging by most of what I´ve read.
I´ve also got at home a 3CRWDR100Y-72, 3com Office Connect ADSL Wireless 11g Firewall Router giving me access to broadband internet.
I´d like to know what the procedure is to be able to log on with my new pda .
Does the Axim require any specific setting up?. If so, where can I read about it?.
I´ve also bought myself a GPS to go with it, a Holux GPSlim236 Bluetooth GPS Receiver. What software sould I use to go with that GPS?. Is it all a straightforward thing?. Where should I install the software, on a SD card, or a CF card?.
Sorry if it all sounds too basic, but I´m still getting my bearings in this world!.

Setting up your wifi should be easy. Turn on the wireless and it should notify you that a wireless network is in range. If it doesn't, look in the site tab of the WLAN client and make sure you can see the network. If you have encryption enabled you must know your key, it will know the network is encrypted and ask you for it. If you can't see your wireless network make sure the broadcast SSID option is enabled in your router. Also make sure your 802.11g router is brodcasting in mixed b+g mode, not g only. Otherwise you will think you're connected but you won't get any packets.

For GPS software TomTom tends to be the favorite for most users. It's a little pricey, so if you're on a tight budget consider Pharos Ostia. Install the software in main memory and the maps on a storage card (you can install the software on a card but I prefer the software in main).

Wifi connection is working allright now.
I´ll start messing about with my GPS when I get it.

Your just like me . Green but we all stairt some where . I have been having problems with my gps so any tips you get I would be greatfull .
