Can't sync with windows media 10 player

I have copied music to my X51v before but tonight I worked for 4 hours and never could get the desktop windows media player 10 to recognize my PDA CF or SD cards to sync the music. Anybody have an answer? Thanks, John

I had the same problem. Worked on the problem for an hour and couldn't get the X51v to show in MP10's sync functions. This was a couple of weeks ago.

Today, I can suddenly get to it. I think it was before I updated to ActiveSync 4.2 but I'm not sure. You might want to try that.

Try ActiveSync 4.5 and let us know!

that wasnt a good idea. i installed 4.5 and now it wont sync any of my outlook calendar items, something a lot more crucial than media files. got any more smart ideas ?

If no versions of ActiveSync work to help you sync media files, the issue is elsewhere in your setup, perhaps a WMP problem or firewall. 4.2 worked for both John and me, so first you should downgrade from the beta to that version.

Personally, I find it much easier to copy music and videos to the Axim through explorer and not through WMP.

i had the same problem with windows media 10. i downloaded windows media 11 and it does a much better job with the music sync.
