I've been having difficulties and inconsistencies with sync'ing my Outlook contacts. I have my Email, Calendar and contacts sync'ing ok at work on Outlook 2000. I'd like to have my contacts cross over to my home Outlook also. I understand I can't have calendars and email from 2 pcs and that's ok. So I noticed I had Outlook 2000 running but had also Office 2003 also installed at home. Since I wanted to keep Publisher, I completely took off the Office 2003, and reinstalled 2000 which had Word, Excel, Outlook and Publisher. Whew! And my email came back too! That was on my home PC.
So all seemed ok at home, and all the apps (Excel, word, outlook, publisher) work fine. But . . I can't sync my contacts now. . . hmmmm.. The error on my Axim says: "Attention required: Cannot synchronize with the Outlook profile you are using, because a different profile was previously set up or the profile is password-protected. Please open Outlook using the appropriate profile."
What the ???? Again, I'd like to sync my contacts on both my work and home PCs. Can I do it?
