SD Memory Card Speeds and X51

Greetings,

What is the maximum transfer rate to the memory card(s) of the X51?

Is the maximum transfer speed of data to/from a memory card dependent on the memory card transfer speed or the internals of the X51? I am looking to purchase a 1GB SD memory card. I don't want to spend the money on a 150x speed SD card if the Axim cannot handle that speed.

The transfer speeds are limited on the Axim side. Most high speed SD cards are theoretically capable of a sustained 20 MB/s transfer rates, but you don't get much more than 1 MB/s in speed tests on any Axim. I use a 133x 2GB SD card and have tested this with benchmarking apps on multiple makes of PPCs.
