What is the largest capacity memory card I can use?
Hello I have a Dell Axim X51v and want to get a compact flash and secure digital memory card. I was thinking a 6 gb compact flash and a 4 gb secure digital. Will these work? If not what is the largest memory I can go with?
The sky is the limit.... You could use 2 x 8 GB cards if you can afford and find them. I think that is about the limit...... Not this this is the max limit on your PDA, just that bigger cards are not available.
I called Dell today and the guy I spoke to told me that the max that it will support is a 1 GB. He said some people that tried the 2GB ones are having problems. Is anybody out there using a 2GB or higher and are you having any problems with it?
I totally agree with you it's not the first time I've gotten wrong advice from Dell. I called them not knowing I got a response here, I forgot to subscribe to my post.
Thanks

I have a question....why did Dell send me a CF type one card when I just ordered my Axim and it's set up for a Type II card...now there is a nice dust gathering gap....GRRRRR.....need to fill the void....and looking for comsmetically pleasing suggestions...no glue involved..my luck I glue the stupid card in and NEVER get it out...Thinking of calling Dell to exchange it for a TypeII card insted.
