I'm starting to wonder if my TomTom installation isnt buggered.
Just like with the other BT devices, I cannot actually change the port number in the TomTom options at all. I click on the serial port, but it doesnt let me specify which port it should go to.

Above, enquerir suggested a serial port registry fix. Your next post didn't mention it, did you try it? Multiple cases of TomTomNoPortitis have been cured with that registry edit.

Sup3rc0w,
ROM A06 has the BT stack improvement. Make sure your x51v is upgraded.
TomTom v4.x might not work properly w/ WM5.
I know it sounds silly. Make sure all physical connections are hook up ... serial cable, if any.
The link I provided above actually shows how to configure the BT-77 GPS receiver w/ TomTom which I believed is what you have. It has lots of screen images ... step by step. Its worth spending 5 minutes on it.
Best of luck.

Went through that link, and you guys pretty much covered everything in that article, still with no results unfortunately.
The BT-77 is indeed the same model I have, and does work just fine with my Nokia.
I did want to upgrade to rom A06, but I only have the 520MGHZ version of the axim.
I think i'll reeinstall tomtom anyways, just to cover all my bases.

Sup3rc0w,
Your 1st post says you've X51V. That's why I mentioned ROM A06 upgrade.
In my previous post, I hinted TomTom v4.x hoping that you can catch it. I think the latest is v5.21 ... fix for WM5.0.
Glad to see you're getting closer & moving in the right direction.

I dont have the top model (620 MHz i think), mine is the one below (520MHz) and AFAIK the rom update isnt compatible.
Cheers for that though, I'll get some time over the weekend to get it sorted out

**edit** ahh realised the typo I made is misleading .. ahem .... Axim 51 that is
