It doesn't work bcos you are doing it in the wrong place (desktop/laptop).
The instructions refers to the AXIM X51V; not the desktop or laptop.
I repeat. Go to your Axim. Axim use File Explorer. To use File Explorer from Axim:
Start > Explorer.
When you run File Explorer from Axim, select My Device folder. The instructions assumed you know how to start File Explorer.
Most users don't like it when you include instructions on how to start File Explorer, that's why it is omitted.
Here is the instructions again.
Line 1 means:
From File Explorer;
select "My Device" folder;
then select "Windows" folder;
then select "Start Menu" folder;
then select "Programs" folder;
1. My Device > Windows > Start Menu > Programs
2. Look for your program name (calc99). In Explorer, you won't see the filename extension which is *.lnk.
3. Delete it (hold down stylus & select Delete). It will not show up in the Program group.
Step 3 does the actual deletion of the icon. Delete whatever you don't need.
Let me know if it is still not clear.
Enquerir.

Do I begin at MY COMPUTER on this laptop, the to MOBILE DEVICE icon> MY WINDOWS MOBILE-BASED DEVICE>PROGRAM FILES? When I follow that path, I cannot locate any of the named programs I have deleted from the Axim.
Starting at EXPLORE on the ACTVESYNC panel on the laptop does the same thing.
Where have I gone wrong?
