I just followed those instructions, I'll let everyone know if I have any more issues with missing SD card.

DAY 2...everything is working fine...

THANK YOU

I tried the suggested scheme, but I still have the same problem I had before: When I try to back up to either the CF or SD card, the X51v reports that the card is either not present or write-only. As before, when I look with File Explorer, it sees both, and I can run programs on them, open files, etc. So this was NOT a successful fix for this particular problem.

Yesterday my axim would not turn on in the morning and I had to reset it. Then I saw that my battery was very low as well. I did what the post said and I didnt have any problems this morning.

I found that the Battery pack pro will still cause me the White Screen problem even after applying fix. Once I removed it from my system, everything works fine.

Axim not turning on, thanks for the fix!

Great to finally find the solution in this forum!

I have one x51v at work, one I bought, and a replacement from Dell, all with the power on/white screen problem.

I talked to Dell tech support, and they told me that Windows hibernate was never reliable and that's just the way it is. They had the nerve to recommend that I do a full power off each time. i.e. forget about alarms, and put up with a 45 sec boot each time I need to check my calendar, etc. Yeah right.

I used a Handspring Visor (Palm) for 8 years and never lost data. But now that I do Pocket PC software development I had to switch... Please, buy Palm! Help them stay in business!!!
