unable to remove applications completely from the device

I could not remove several game applications completely from my device (AXIM X51v) that I installed several days ago. I used "Add/Remove Problems" under "Tool" menu in MS ActiveSync but it does not work. Applications are still in the device. Then, I opened the program folder from "File Exploer" on device and deleted application folders. When I opend "AppMgr" folders on device, I found some files associated with the applications I just removed are still there. I tried to remove them again, access is denied by the device with a prompt warning
- " Cannot delete 'STPAAC1': Access is denied. Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and the file is not currently in use". I was not using that application when deleting the applicaiton.

Does anyone has similar experiences? Please advise.

Thanks

A somewhat brutal but surefire way to remove these program fragments is to do a hard reset ( press and hold power and whilst doing so press reset).

They would also be removed when you next do a ROM upgrade

Won't the Hard Reset remove everything that's installed as well?

I had a similar problem and had good luck deleting stubborn files with Resco Explorer 2005 (it's even got a registry editor). There's a 14-day trial.
