Axim X51 won't turn on
Sometimes I have to soft reset My Axim to power up. Usually after it's been off for several hours. Has anyone else had this problem or know what to do?

I have had my X51 for only a week and it does the same thing. I called Dell and they are going to replace it with a new one.
Good Luck

Its a known problem.
Try upgrading to A04 from Dell.com and also then watch the Dell site as their are rumours that A05 is due out soon.
The problem seems to be reduced if yoy leave the BT switched on at all times.

X51v drops dead after several hours in off
I doubt if a replacement device will solve this. I've had two X51vs and they both have exhibited this behaviour, even after I upgraded the ROM to A04. A soft reset seems to be the only solution currently. Like everyone else, I am hoping that the A05 upgrade will take care of this issue. I hope it comes out in my lifetime.

Blue tooth switch, top of the two left side buttons, or by tapping the bluetooth icon bottom right of the today screen, then switch on

Not significantly, but you can choose, resets, or a slightly reduced working time.
AT least until ROM A05

I seemed to have this probelm as well, but I found that the reset is only needed when the axim goes in standby after using the sd card.
Whenever a save to memory has been made it starts up allright.
Has anyone came across that.
I've 2 of those behaving alike so it's not a faulty Axim.
