Blue Screen and stop erro when attaching axim to cradle

I have a new axim x51v, and a new xps 400 w/ xp media center sp2. When I connect my dell axim x51v to its dock i get a blue screen, a memory dump, and a stop error code. I have tried reinstalling activesync numerous times. I have reconfigured my firewall (trend micro) to the recomended settings from dell's website, i have followed the following suggestion
Go to http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmob...nc/default.mspx and read the section titled "Network Connection Managers":: , I have performed a hard reset on my handheld, and we have tried some things in safe mode, and I have spent a few hours on the phone with Dell. They do not know what is going on. This never happens under any other circumstances.
I have wriiten down a few of the stop error codes:
Stop: 0x00000005 (0x00000004, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x8054afd2)
and
one time I got
tcpip.sys address EFBCFFA& base at EFBC6000, Date Stamp 429cc20
and just today
stop 0x000000C5 (0x00000004, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x8054AFD2)

Please let me know what I can do

Hey actually I had the same issue yesterday, I found that by disabling the extra firewall protection in Kaspersky it worked great, instant cooperation.

I had the same problem... After uninstalling KAV, my axim is correctly syncing whith PC.

I have not had the blue screen, but perhaps a related problem: If the device is sitting in the cradle when I power up the PC (Win XP with SP2), the boot sequence freezes -- no error message, no nothing. In those cases when I forget and leave it there when I turn on the computer, I have to reboot. Synching works normally after that, having configured Zone Alarm properly.

this is top on my google search for 0x8054afd2. I'm still having the same problem and no one has really chimed in with a suggestion, much less a solution.

Samus and PieM claimed to have solved the problem by disabling or reconfiguring their third party firewalls.

What do you use for firewall software? What are the exceptions?

i have trend micro pc-chillin internet security.
i have since entered the exceptions from microsofts support page, and it did not help.
for the last 2 months i have had the firewall disabled, and I am still having problems.
can you post a link to the solutions?

I would uninstall PC-Cillin and see if the error persists. If so, try a chkdsk to make sure your drive has no corruption.

Go to Start--> Run-->cmd-->chkdsk /r and it will tell you it needs to reboot to perform the chkdsk. Watch the chkdsk program to see if it reports bad sectors or not.
