New X51V user wants to print via Bluetooth

I just got my first PDA an Axim X51v two weeks ago and really am using it. PPT files and PDF files installed and working without a hitch. I would like to use it now for my machine demonstrations. I sell a specialized industrial computer printer used in factories. I would want to connect via Bluetooth. I just purchased a bluetooth parallel print adapter for our printer but have not been able to get pass the pass key screen in the Axim. The mfg of the adapter I contacted said that the adapter cannot use a passkey so it is in the Axim where the problem lies. Hints suggestions, and then what is the next step. Even with this issue my only regret is not getting an Axim sooner.

I don't think you can do what you are asking with just the software on the x51 by itself. You will need to install a generic printer driver program such as ActivePrint. This is not free, but you can fined details on

From my understanding, this installs a generic driver but I do not know if the printout - ie layout, would be fully what you expect.

I would also suggest you go back to the manufacturer of the adapter and ask that he confirms that he has experience of this adapter working with PDA's.

Have you tried searching for the adapter using your X51 ?. Connections can be initiated from both sides and you can ask your axim to search for services available on the adapter. If the axim does not find the adapter when searching, then either they are not compatable or the adapter is at fault ( check this by using your axim to look for another bluetooth device)
