    Cool Wm6

How do I upgrade from WM5 to WM6 or WM6.1
Is it difficult to accomplish this task?

Hey Oscar, welcome to the site, plenty of information in this old thread
It's pretty simple really, you download the image file, place it on an SD card, and follow the button pressing sequence to start the boot loader. A word of warning, caveat I post to anyone thinking about flashing a rom, if any thing goes wrong you may brick the axim. Be very careful to get the specific rom for your axim. If you brick the axim the only way to recover it is via the same procedure. Irony at it greatest

You can use large cards (I have a 16GB SDHC & a 32GB CF), but you can't use it like a dedicated phone. You can use Skype as long as you have internet access.
For ROMs look at HTCGEEKS - e.g. this thread :
WM 6.1, 6.5 rom for dell axim x51 - HTCGeeks Forum
