hey thanks for your help Pedah. The card is an 8gig fat 32 sdhc card, I think the reason that I cant upgrade to 6.1 is the version I have is lennys and its simply not ready yet (for x51). I'm gonna try Maaku tonight, I'll let y'all know what the deal is tomorrow. This is almost as bad as buying an AR-15! (barbie for men) LOL

DiAd_K_AximX51v_WM6_A06ENprivb6A (makku), DiAd_K_AximX51v_WM6_A06ENprivb6P (makku), LennySh_AximX51_WM61_19214_L04_20090201_Alpha1 (lenny), A03 football all refuse to work. They drop me onto the black screen and soft, hard resets do nothing. Reflashing does nothing, I am doing the three finger mambo. The only one I was able to get to work is WM6 L03 by Lennysh, which is unable to access my 8G sdhc card (ths whole reason for the upgrade...). I have to be honest, I'm strating to lose faith! What am I doing wrong?

Thanks again you guys have been instrumental in keeping me from giving up before, LOL. I'll watch the video again but I think I'm doing it right, I'll keep y'all posted.

by the way I'm running rom A12 upgraded, x51 mid, 2G sdhc (which works) and 8G sdhc (which remains unrecognized).

The x51v files will not work with the x51

You have to have specific x51 ROMs. As for your 2Gb card, it would be SD, not SDHC. SDHC cards start at 4Gb.

I thought I was open about my model I'm sorry if I wasn't, I have the x51 mid. I have the intel PXA270 processor @ 520mhz, I have 64mb ram with 128mb for the rom. I am running A12 rom (06200600) which ends up being windows 6 classic by lennysh A03. I would LOVE to be able to use my sdhc cards and still cannot with this version of windows, I'm not tough enough to program my own and have as yet been unable to find one that actually works on my model. Most people simply refer me to the football A03...ect, even after I say I have the mid range model. Am I missing something? Is there a way to make x51 software work for me? At any rate, I am unable to run a version of windows with sdhc support which is my current mission. Should I abandon this goal?

I'd look for the SDHC driver before i gave up on this. I know it works for the X51V with the stock dell rom. You could always just buy an X51V off ebay, they're still only about 100USD. And it'd be worth it to you if you only have the 51mid IMHO.

ok I got that and tried to install it but it says it can't. That it needs 66k and shows that I've got like 189k or something and that I don't have enough. Isn't dat weird? you guys are awesome to stick with me like this!

The ax is probably reffering to program memory when it gives a warning like that. Do you have a memory card installed, and can you uninstall/reinstall programs to memory card to free up space for the drivers?
