CF Card and CF Card2 Problem

Hi,
My Axim somehow decided to rename the CF Card to CF Card2 and I cannot run the programs I installed on the card.

Can anyone tell me how to remane the CF Card2 back to CF Card?

It appears that SKTools has the rename function you need. There's a free Lite version at

Downloads

and the page also shows several limited full versions. Given that you need it for one specific function probably the full version will do what you need and you can then uninstall it (or buy it...?)

Wecome Keith, this was/is a fairly common bug. Usually happens if you take the card out while the device is on, the axim tries to find the card, and can't, then when reinserted, the axim goes Oh a new card and creates the new directory.

The fix, open the file explorer, and navigate to CFcard and delete it, then soft reset. Then the axim will register the one card and cfcard will be there.

How do I do that? File explorer won't seem to let me delete the card

I had to do that once and if I remember, I think I did it while the card was out of the Axim. Turn it off, take out the card. Turn it on. Go to Explore, delete the card, then do a softreset. Now reinsert the card and it should show up as the CF card. Don't know, been a long time.....
