Axim 50 v and battery issues / life

I recently got a 50v and I am having some problems when it is removed from the cradle. I take it home and in less than 2 hours the battery is drained. I have tried switching batteries and the problem is still there. If I switch the batteries once the other is dead, I have powere again, but again after a few hours this battery is drained also. Is it possible that I just have a couple of bad batteries, or is it something more? Any help would be appreciated. The unit is not in use when this issue occurs.

How old are the batteries? Too bad you don't have another axim or battery you could use to do more testing. Definately sounds like the symptoms of some dead batteries.
