HP Mini-Note vs IPAQ 210

This has absolutely nothing to do with a Dell Axim 50v of which I am a proud user. However, I am thinking about updating to the new IPAQ 210 or even the HP Mini-note. My question is....why and/or why not should I choose the Mini-Note w/ the 7" screen and a full blown computer over the PDA. The price is very close to comparable. Am I missing something? Two very different devices, I have an Eee PC for computer functionality and ppc for portability. Why upgrade the x50v? I've read the processor is faster, 256 rom, 1128 rom, wireless b/g and the screen is nicer. What are you wanting to do with the ipaq that your x50v is not doing for you?

I guess you are right Kim. I had just read some very positive articles re: the Ipaq. But, if I only need one device...it just doesn't make sense NOT to go with the Mini-Note or an equivalent netbook. The only downside I can imagine is the boot time for the UMPC. How do you like yours? By the way, how does WM6 work on the Dell Axim for you? I had heard a lot of negative comments about upgrading from WM 2nd edition.

Yeah, I agree the ipaq looks very tempting, but for the price I'm not sure I'm quite ready to upgrade though the wireless g looks nice not to mention the pxa310 which is mentioned as 'notably faster than the pxa270.' The HP mini-note looks like a winner, very classy with the aluminum casing, not to mention the specs look good.

I love my Eee PC, it is great, the main criterion I used to select it was size and price. I got it with xp for under 300. It boots into windows in about 15 seconds, the solid state drive is very fast, and I can carry it in a leather case made for a novel..

I really like wm 6 A02 it is running great, my x50v came with wm 5 so it is a good improvement over that imo. I'm currently waiting for 6.1 from Lenny's forum it is still in the testing process..

I may hold off for a while...keep me posted on any new developements you may hear about. I sincerely appreciate your feedback. You're the only one that I'm spoken to that uses the laptop AND PDA...as I'm thinking about doing.
