Unable to update the ROM

I am trying to update the ROM on my Axim X50. I have download the update from Dell. I have had no success trying to update the ROM from A01 to A05. It syncs in the cradle, the installation stays at 0% percent for hours. The update should only take 15 mins after it starts. Does anyone have some information or suggestions for me?
