LCD - grey bar?

I now have a grey bar running down the left side of the LCD. It's about a half inch wide, and it's a bright grey bar. The touchscreen works underneath still.

Has anyone experienced this, and/or made it go away? Is this going to require a new LCD?? If so, does anyone know of a good source? The cheapest I've seen is $89 + $15 shipping from China.
