carpda with X50v

Hi i'm interesting about a solution of carpc with my x50v, i want to know if it's possible to connect a TouchScreen to my x50v with the VGA cable, and after if i can touch my 7" screen and if the pda response ?
So if it's works, does it exist a front end on windows mobile ?
Because it will be a good solution no ?

Sorry, what you are asking is both very expensive and also very specific.

The VGA cable is designed for signals out, not 2 way communications as would be needed with a touch screen.

Without knowing why you want to do such a complicated set up, it is difficult to comment on if this would be a suitable solution, but I feel their are cheaper solutions.

Hi, so i want to know that because carpc & co is very expensive.

So i have allready my x50v with gps, 4go compact flash, it's a good multimedia station and if we could connect a touchscreen it's transforme our pda to a central multimedia for any car witch be able to show movies, to have navi, listen musique, etc...

So does anyone have test to connect a touchscreen ?

So i have found the solution.
You will use a Usb host compact flash adaptater around 140$
touchscreen usb 300$
And it will be ok !

So i think i will use an alternative solution :
My X50v + cable VGA + mouse Bluetooth and a simple screen and it is less exensive ^^

Good idea fxmartin, but the USB touchscreen would require PPC2003 drivers (or WM5 if that's on the X50). Touchscreens normally use a serial (or USB) interface to transfer the touch data. The data would require the OS to have drivers to interpret that data.

Research the touchscreen support site to see if it has drivers for PPC before you spend your hard earned money.
